STEM Brand and Core Identity:
Queen of Angels Catholic School bases all decisions on the foundations of the Catholic faith and the dignity of each person made in the image and likeness of God. Our core identity as a school is based on our tagline - Encounter Christ, Empower Students, Engage Community. We seek to encounter Christ in all aspects of our and include religion as a part of our STREAM identity. We seek to empower students with knowledge and skills to learn about the world around them, to think critically about information they gather, and to work collaboratively with others to improve conditions for others in our community and all of God’s creation. Finally, we engage our community - parents, extended family and friends, and local businesses - to come together with us as we support our students in their journey to combine faith and reason to build the kingdom of God.

STREAM Mission Statement
The STREAM Program (Science- Technology- Religion- Engineering- Arts- Mathematics), is rooted in our faith, providing a school-wide program that seeks to glorify God while developing a child's creativity and love of learning. Students explore God's creation through interdisciplinary studies centered around project-based experiences and real-life exploration. We cultivate a collaborative environment where students grow as critical thinkers, creative problem solvers, and faithful stewards of God's creation and servants of social justice.

Alignment with Cognia STEM Certification and Continuous Improvement
Queen of Angels Catholic School follows the 10 Cognia STEM Certification Standards in order to build a framework with which to measure the strengths and weaknesses of our STREAM program. The goals of the Archdiocese of Atlanta’s Office of Catholic Schools as well as our own goals as a school push us to maintain a rigorous academic program that promotes a variety of learning opportunities to demonstrate mastery of standards while keeping a focus on our Catholic faith. We continue to meet students where they are in their learning and faith journeys, and we strive to provide an environment that promotes rigorous academics, community involvement, and social-emotional wellness grounded in the teachings of the Catholic church. Our approach to continuous improvement includes:

•    Professional Development to enhance STREAM lessons across the curriculum
•    Engagement with parents and local businesses
•    Focus on Catholic Identity in each area of study,  including STREAM lessons within each classroom
