QA Beneficiary of a $100,000 gift
We welcomed Mrs. Nancy Hoffman at our school wide Mass on August 9, 2024 for a presentation of a gift of $100,000 by the Russell Hoffman Trust. This generous donation was deposited into the QA Endowment Fund and will support Mr. and Mrs. Hoffman’s desire to fund programs at QA that will ensure that Catholic education continues to fulfill the mission of forming the hearts, minds, and souls of students.
Russell and Nancy Hoffman attended daily Mass at St. Peter Chanel Catholic Church. Mrs. Hoffman shared that each Friday when QA students were present at Mass, the Hoffman’s were so moved by their reading, singing, and reverence, especially when receiving Jesus in the Eucharist. Mrs. Hoffman stated “Friday morning Masses were very special to us. We were able to celebrate Mass with you, and your sweetness brought tears to our eyes...What a gift you are to this Catholic community.”
There is a saying: You might be the only Bible that someone ever reads. The way our QA students present their faith and demonstrate reverence is recognized and appreciated within our community. How beautiful that the light of Christ within each K-8th grader shines so brightly!
Mr. Hoffman passed away in January 2024, and on a recent visit to the school, Mrs. Hoffman shared that it was her husband’s desire to name Queen of Angels a beneficiary so that the Catholic faith and formation may continue to be offered to current and future students.
We were honored to have Superintendent Patty Childs and Associate Superintendent Tony Bonta join QA for this special presentation, which recognized the significance of Catholic education at Queen of Angels and throughout Catholic schools in the Archdiocese of Atlanta.
As good stewards of Nancy and Russell Hoffman's gift to QA, we promise to provide excellence in Catholic education for future generations. We are truly grateful for the Hoffman's and their faithfulness to Queen of Angels Catholic School.
