What is National Catholic Schools Week?

Since 1974, National Catholic Schools Week is the annual celebration of Catholic education in the United States. In the Archdiocese of Atlanta, it begins on the last Saturday in January with the Archbishop's Banquet for Catholic Education. The theme for National Catholic Schools Week in 2019 was “Catholic Schools: Learn. Serve. Lead. Succeed.”

Queen of Angels uses this week to celebrate daily each constituency that makes Catholic education so unique — students, parents, our school, clergy, and faculty/staff. From pajama day to a school-wide service project, Catholic Schools Week is one of the highlights of the school year as Queen of Angels focuses on the value of Catholic education, what our mission provides to young people, and the contribution to our church, our communities, and our nation.
