What is the CogAT?

The Cognitive Abilities Test (CogAT) is a multiple-choice test designed to measure a child’s academic aptitude or cognitive development.  These include reasoning ability, problem-solving, and skills that correlate to academic success.  The CogAT is comprised of three sections: the Verbal Battery, the Quantitative Battery, and the Nonverbal Battery.
