FAQ

Can I apply after the application deadline?

We do not accept applications for admissions after the deadline.

My child will not turn 5 until after the September 1st cutoff. Can I still apply for him/her to attend Kindergarten?

No. Queen of Angels Catholic School adheres to the September 1st cutoff for incoming kindergarteners.

My kindergarten applicant has a summer birthday. Will you accept his/her application?

As long as your child will be 5 by the September 1st cutoff, he or she is welcome to apply. Our kindergarten readiness assessment, along with the recommendation of the child's preschool teacher, will help us determine if he or she is ready to begin kindergarten.

My child will not be ready for kindergarten for a few years. How soon can I apply?

Applications are accepted from November - February   during the school year preceeding the academic year in which your child will begin Kindergarten. Only students who will be old enough to begin Kindergarten in the 2017-2018 academic year should apply this year for Kindergarten.

I am applying for Kindergarten, and my child's preschool does not have a formal report card. Do I need to submit the Release of Records form?

Some preschools keep skill reports; if so, these can be submitted by the preschool as part of the application process. If your preschool does not maintain skill/grade records, then it is not necessary to submit anything.

My child is currently on the waiting list. How do I reapply for next year?

Please go to the application on our website beginning November 9, 2016 and fill out the online re-application.  If you have any questions, please contact the Admissions Office at (770) 518-1804 x101.

How many students are in each class?

There are two homerooms at each grade level (K-8) with 28 students in each class.

I am interested in sending my child to Blessed Trinity Catholic High School. Does he/she have to attend Queen of Angels first?

Although both Queen of Angels and Blessed Trinity are Archdiocesan Catholic schools, they are administered separately. Please contact Blessed Trinity directly for information about their admissions procedures.

I have a student at Blessed Trinity High School. Will my applicant to Queen of Angels Catholic School be given sibling status on your waiting list?

No. Sibling status applies to students who currently or formerly attended Queen of Angels Catholic School only.
