Rachel’s Challenge exists to stand alongside education professionals at every level to inspire, equip and empower students to make a positive difference in their world. It is a powerful partnership that can replace bullying and violent behavior on school campuses with kindness and compassion so students can learn more in a safer, more respectful environment.

The group's mission is to carry out Rachel's Challenges and help the students at Queen of Angels Catholic School spread kindness and compassion through different activities.

FOR kindness and compassion cards (group members acknowledge fellow students with words of encouragement, congratulations, inspiration, etc.)

RACHEL’S CHALLENGE – INTERESTING FACT

Queen of Angels Catholic School Third grade students integrated Rachel’s Challenge in to their math lesson. They calculated the number of links in the ten miles of chains celebrated on 11-11-11 at the Georgia Dome. They began by calculating that ten miles of chains x 5,280 feet per mile makes 52,800 feet of chain. They estimated that the links are about two inches wide, so that would be 6 per foot, and 6 x 52,800 = 316,800 links
