Queen of Angles Catholic School follows the curriculum of the Archdiocese of Atlanta.

Primary grades:

  • Literacy skill emphasis and strong foundational practices
  • Orton-Gillingham phonics and Super Kids Reading programs
  • Accelerated Reader
  • Math Their Way and Math Simple Solutions programs
  • Science and Social Studies utilize a “hands on” approach
  • Writing skill emphasis

Intermediate grades:

  • Reading skills increase
  • Literature exploration: novel reading, response journals, literature circles and Accelerated Reader
  • Collins Writing Program
  • Research writing
  • EnVison Math Series utilized
  • Hands-On Math program prepares students for algebraic thinking
  • An extra math challenge through EPGY (an enrichment program from Stanford University) for qualifying students
  • Science and Social Studies explore in depth through labs and diverse lessons

Middle School:

  • Students fully employ technology in all core subjects
  • EPGY math for qualifying students
  • Leveled math courses allow qualifying 8th grade students the opportunity for Algebra 1
  • Language Arts and literature programs challenge student writing, research, oration, and reading 
  • In-depth study of Shakespeare
  • Students use Kindles for in-class novel reading
  • Frequent science labs and dissection opportunities
  • Interactive lessons support World and American history
  • Students choose from a variety of electives: Band, Choir, Robotics, Video-Journalism, Animation, Reading Club, Future Cities and Graphic Arts
  • Students use a fully equipped TV studio to deliver the morning news
 

Religion is a core course throughout all grade levels and the underpinning of the educational experience at Queen of Angels Catholic School.
